An ABC for the new year

Recently, I've been reading some books related to memory, the functioning of the brain, learning, mind maps and similar subjects (starting from the famous "The Mind Map Book" by Tony and Barry Buzan). While looking for further reading, I stumbled across an interesting German lady, who seems to be quite popular in her country, and who publishes a never-ending stream of books: Vera F. Birkenbihl (VFB)(*). I'll certainly be writing more about the subject in the coming weeks.

Today the thought struck me that it might be fun to apply one of the creativity techniques promoted by VFB on the new year. During my lunch break, I set out to build a so-called ABC list around the theme of "New Year". It consists in finding associations around this concept for all (or most) of the letters of the alfabet, to see what thoughts and ideas this may generate. Here is the result for you (and myself) to ponder.

Appetite
Beginning
Challenge - Consolidation - Choices
Dreams
Evolution
Faith - Fantasy - Fear
Growth - Giving
Hope
Interesting
Joy
Keep what's good
Love - Life - Learning
Mystery

Questions - Quality
Re-creation - Routine
Starting over
Thanks - Turning point
Uplifting
Validation
Work
eXciting
YES!
Zest for life
